Wow! Glow Gear has opened up a whole new world of golf for me. Night golf, that is! I own the balls, 2 chargers, 3 putting flag pins, and the green blaster. My friends and I play a twilight round on our local pitch and putt course every week, and let me tell you, it is big fun! We watch as other groups chase the sun, desperately trying to get 18 holes in before it’s too dark to see. We, however, are NOT beholden to the sun, and are in no rush. People slowly taper off as the light fades, and suddenly we’re alone on the course, and out comes the night gear! The balls charge up in a minute or less, stay lit for ages, and are easier to spot than a day ball. In fact, the darker it is, the easier they are to see. (I give them a quick recharge at every tee, but they don’t turn off after 8 minutes like a battery-powered ball, and they feel and play just like a regular ball.) The green blaster allows you to see your contact perfectly off the tee/fairway (or whatever lie you have), and it also perfectly reveals contours on the green for your putts. The putting pins give you a highly visible target, and also cast good light to assist with putting. Someone does have to walk up and place the pin every hole, but it’s easy enough to do on a pitch and putt course (you will get your steps in). You might think golf is harder to play in the dark, but you’d be wrong. Glow Gear products are so good that we play every bit as good at night as we do in the day. I hit my first hole in one ever playing at night with Glow Gear! There’s a certain purity to night golf that you don’t get in the day. Visual noise from various course elements are eliminated, and it reinforces that fact that golf is all about getting the ball from A to B, and what lies between shouldn’t matter. Not to mention the fact that you can play as much as you like. We’ve hit 45 holes in a night! If you love golf and wish you could play more of it, I can’t recommend Glow Gear enough!
